Kinta pays a lot of attention to the design of the products. We cooperate intensively with a Philippine designer, who combines his knowledge of the western market with his insight into local techniques, materials and possibilities in a creative way. In close cooperation with Kinta the design is further developed in small workshops in the Philippines. Twice a year the collection is renewed with new shapes, colours and materials. In this way we develop a contemporary collection that follows the latest trends.
Kinta imports interior decorations from Africa, the Philippines and Vietnam. Our collection comes about through a unique symbiosis of local products and western designs. Our business is based on the principle of fair trade.
We like to do business directly, without intermediaries, with the producers, usually small family businesses. We support them with training and advice. We continuously check to see if anything can be improved in the products, production processes and working conditions.
Our products are made from natural and residual materials which are sufficiently and sustainably available in the regions where they are purchased. They are all made using traditional techniques.
Kinta products are made by people, not by machines. Therefore we aim for good working conditions, fair compensations and good housing for the employees.
